A VG+ copy (a neat former owner's name to the front free end-paper; spine partially faded; pages 141 through 146 have dog-eared corners likely a production fault). The dustwrapper is priced 3s 6d net to the inside flap (as per the English Catalogue of Books (ECB) for 1940. The dustwrapper is browned to the spine with chipping and loss to the head of the spine and a slither of loss at the tail of the spine. Quite a nice copy. A delightfully charming book, originally written in Czech. Featuring gorgeous black-and-white illustrations. Translated into English by Czech couple Marie and Robert Weatherall.
