A small shadow to the lower front board and a little light wear to the extremities. In the very good unclipped dust wrapper, retaining the original price of 15s net. Some rubbing to the folds and edges, with minor wear to the spine tips and corners. A patch of discolouration to the upper rear panel. The striking William Randell wrapper remains bright. The author's scarce debut novel, introducing Inspector Wexford and beginning one of the most celebrated series in British crime fiction.
