Our protagonist Matrafax meets a stranger Diaphantus after his experiment fails. Diaphantus takes him to the 'First World', a barren place presumably where life first formed. Later Diaphantus takes Martafax to the Third World, a heaven of sorts, with marble cities and that sort of gubbins, wherein we have a bit of a fairly light philosophical meander. Uncommon.
