Wear at the corners of the dustjacket with a few small nicks and chips around the edges; slight discolouration on the left side of the front panel; price intact; no interior markings. This novel was originally published by Charles Carrington in Paris, 1900, where it caused a world-wide stir, the story of a black man from Africa being educated in England and subsequently returning to his native land and lifestyle.
