First edition. A beautifully produced chromolithographic book featuring tone lithographs and multicolour lithographs depicting clowns, dressage, acrobats, a parade and an afternoon in the park. Adapted for youth, with captions by FH van Leent. Full colour stiff card covers. Sewn binding - possibly re-sewn at some point. 16 pages of which eight are in sepia illustration, and eight in full colour, including a lovely double centre illustration. Covers are in good, clean condition, with fractional bumping only No significant marks or damage. Internally clean and tidy throughout. There is a tiny owner’s name stamp to the blank inside cover.
