The Sea Trilogy revolves around Edmund Talbot and the 12 months-long passage from 19th century Europe to Australia with the ship becoming a world and microcosm in itself. A BBC film adaptation starring Benedict Cumberbatch as Edmund Talbot as well as Sam Neill, Victoria Hamilton and Charles Dance. Rites of Pasaage won the Booker Prize.
