A first Folio Society edition, first printing of England's Constable, The Life and Letters of John Constable by Joseph Darracott, published by The Folio Society, London in 1985. A very fine book free from internal inscriptions, grey cloth bound boards with illustrated paper cartouche of sepia Constable landscape to front board, gilt titling against brown background to the spine, text blocks are bright and crisp. In a full colour pictorial paper bound slip case, illustrating Constable's The Leaping Horse, with some light bumping to top edge.
