First edition. 64 pages. Formerly the property of Esm� Wynne-Tyson, the writer, actress and philosopher, inscribed by her to the front endpaper: "E. W. T. from her loving self. 17.8.20. "I'll leave it to you.". A charming inscription, marking a significant juncture in her life, referring to the Noel Coward play in which she played the role of Faith, her last professional stage appearance. Wynne-Tyson was a close friend of Coward's who co-wrote several early plays with him and encouraged his development as a playwright. The book has been neatly and sympathetically re-spined, preserving the original boards, which are heavily bumped, rubbed and stained. The text block is slightly foxed, marked and age toned. An excellent association copy.
