First Edition and only edition, from the library of Lawrence's biographer, Jeremy Wilson, and bearing his bookplate on the verso of the front free-endpaper. Octavo (215 x 140mm), pp. 175, [1 (blank)]. 2 half-tone plates bearing illustrations recto-and-verso. Original orange and tan cloth, spine lettered in black, maps on endpapers. A book in Very Good condition. Extremities very lightly rubbed and bumped, dust-jacket slightly creased and chipped at edges, faded on spine, ink marks on upper wrapper affecting upper board. Evolution of a Revolt collects newspaper and periodical articles written by Lawrence in the late- and post-war period, describing and discussing the Arab revolt and its international ramifications. The work was edited by the American scholars Stanley and Rodelle Weintraub; Stanley Weintraub had previously published 'Private Shaw and Public Shaw. A Dual Portrait of Lawrence of Arabia and G.B.S.' (1963) and (with Rodelle Weintraub) 'Lawrence of Arabia: The Literary Impulse' (1975). This copy was previously in the collection of the distinguished Lawrence scholar Jeremy Wilson, the editor of 'T.E. Lawrence's 'Minorities' (London, 1971), the author of the National Portrait Gallery catalogue 'T.E. Lawrence: Lawrence of Arabia' (London, 1988) and the authoritative biography 'Lawrence of Arabia: The Authorised Biography of T.E. Lawrence' (London, 1989). He was also the co-founder, with his wife Nicole, of the Castle Hill Press, which has published scholarly editions of works by Lawrence and the definitive series of Lawrence's letters.…

standard delivery charge in the United Kingdom
We offer a standard delivery charge and insurance to all mainland UK addresses of £4.00 unless the weight of the parcel exceeds 2kg, when the charge will be the actual cost.
Delivery charges outside the United Kingdom
The charge for packing, insurance and delivery of a single book outside the UK is as follows:
To destinations in Europe: £15 plus £2 for each extra item up to a total weight of 2kg. Heavier items are charged at cost.
To destinations in North America and To destinations in the Rest of World: £25 plus £2 forveach extra item up to a total weight of 2kg. Heavier items are charged at cost.
Delivery methods and periods
We will usually use Royal Mail / Parcel Force or a courier.
We will dispatch books within 48 hours of cleared payment, with the expectation that, they will be delivered (a) within the UK no later than 48 hours thereafter
(b) overseas, as soon as possible having regard to local postal/courier services.
