FIRST HEIGHWAY EDITION, Large paper issue. One of only 100 copies issued. Large 8vo. (10.5 x 7.4 inches), With notes and an index. Beautifully illustrated throughout with over 100 fine engravings by Heighway. Tissue guard to the frontis. Some minor offsetting to the blank endpapers otherwise a fine and clean copy throughout. In the original publishers burgundy cloth binding with printed paper label to the spine. The spine is a bit faded but this is still a lovely copy of this scarce volume. With an attractive Art Nouveau bookplate of Christie Chetwynd Atkinson, decorated and illustrated with two women reading, by M.C.
