Bailey Brothers, 1845. 1st Edition . Good/No Jacket. First edition. PO's name and address to ffe., and name to top of title-page. Book in good only condition in the original publisher's green cloth, with a fair bit of wear and rubbing, especially to corners, where the cloth is worn through. Small quarto (9 7/16 x 7 1/4 inches). [2],40pp,[1, Addenda],[1, blank], does not have the catalogue found in some copies. Frontis. and 6 coloured lithographed plates, three black and white plates, eight illustrations in the text. Cloth faded to brown on covers, rebacked at some stage, retaining original backstrip, but with no lettering. Internally, there are handling marks and spotted foxing, age-toning to paper.
