1901, First Edition, Second State Binding. Octavo. 5" x 8" approx. vii, 342pp. Complete with the illustrations. Publisher's blue cloth, printed black titles. Minor rubbing to extremities. Binding secure. Former owner heraldic bookplate to paste-down and W. H. Smith blind-stamp to corner of end paper. Otherwise generally clean within. A 'Very Good' copy. Science fiction novel about a journey to the Moon by two Englishmen who discover that a sophisticated extraterrestrial civilization of insect-like creatures ("Selenites") inhabits the lunar interior.
