No edition stated, but presumed first edition (hardback). 4to (31cm by 24cm), ix, 131pp. 73 plates. Original decorated white cloth, top edge gilt, dustwrapper. Foxing to the preliminary pages and the edges of the text block; overall, the book is in good condition. The dustwrapper is in good plus condition (chipping to the head of the spine panel). Pictorial Hard Boards. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 173pp. A lovely copy with dust wrapper. Superbly illustrated with 73 full page illustrative plates in colour and b/w with tissue guards - all plates as called for - though a few tissue guards are missing. Light shelf wear to the head and tail of the spine of the book. The remains of a prize presentation book plate to the front end paper. Some foxing - mainly to the prelims and fore edges. Well preserved dust wrapper. Slight sunning to the spine of the wrapper and a little chipping with loss of 0.5 cm to the wrapper at the head of the spine. There are 1 cm tears to the wrapper over the top corners of the front and rear boards of the book. The book is clean and tight. A very good copy. Seller Inventory # 209018
