First UK Edition in dustwrapper priced 6s net to the inside flap. Publisher's tan boards lettered in red and black with Rufty Tufty wearing a red jacket. Illustrated end-papers. 77 pp. A contemporary gift inscription to the verso of the FFEP. Overall a VG copy. The dustwrapper is chipped to the spine ends (not affecting any lettering) and is about VG. First book in the Rufty Tufty series. Charming illustrations by Dorothy Craigie (best known as an illustrator for a series of children's books written by Graham Greene for Eyre & Spottiswoode and Max Parrish. Rare.
