First US edition, first printing. Original green cloth with black lettering to spine and front panel, in the dustwrapper designed by Bip Pares. A very near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the contents clean throughout. Upper spine tip a little softened, with a few light marks to lower edge of the page block (and one tiny dot to the fore-edge). In the lightly soiled original dustwrapper, a little rubbed to upper edges with a couple of small nicks and a 1 cm closed tear. Correctly priced $2.00 to the front flap. A sharp copy of the second General Besserley collection. Another series of adventures interrupts the General while writing his memoirs at his mountain retreat high above the Mediterranean. (Hubin).
