Illustrated with a black and white portrait frontispiece and black and white photographs and artworks throughout. A very good copy, the binding square and firm, the cloth a little rubbed to the extremities and slightly faded to the spine. The contents are clean throughout and without previous owners' stamps or inscriptions. Complete with the lightly rubbed and nicked original illustrated dustwrapper which is toned to the spine, has some chipping to the head of the spine and some dustmarking to the rear panel. Not price clipped (15s. net to the front flap). Inscribed by the author in blue ink on the half title "For / Anne Munro Herr [underlined] / from a / grateful / author / Osbert Sitwell [underlined] / April:16:1948".
