Very good condition. An uncommon run, containing the first eleven of Anthony Armstrong's Loose in the Library series, a group of parodies known chiefly for Armstrong's take on Edgar Rice Burroughs, with Marzipan the Ape-Man, The Battlechief of Mars (with John Waggoner) and The Visit to Mars, and his Doyle parodies, The Reigate Road Murder and The Scarlet Pimple (sounds more Orczy, but is in Bob Adey's As it Might Have Been). The ERB stories haven't been republished as far as I can tell, but the ACD have, in the aforementioned Adey book. There's nothing to suggest that the series finished at episode eleven though, but the magazine did finish ten issues later in November 1927. Some wear to the bindings, a few short tears, and some creasing but largely a pleasing set.
