1960. First Edition. 211 pages. Photographic jacket over green cloth with gilt titles to spine. With foreword by General Sir George Erskine. Includes B&W photographic plates and frontis. Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Slight gutter cracking. Binding is firm. Ex libris stamp, and prices in pencil, to FEP. Extensive modern pen inscription to reverse of frontis, which is quite tanned also. A few dog-eared corners. Text block edges highly foxed. Boards have some moderate edge wear, with slight bumping to corners and minor bumping to spine ends. Boards a little rubbed and marked overall (subtle dust marks). Boards are slightly bowed. Gilt is bright. Unclipped jacket (priced 25s net) has some edgewear with minor loss, plus some chips, tears and creasing. Some tape repairs to spine area; spine heavily sunned also.
