Bound with THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL MINE a collection of antiquarian nuggets, relating to the County of Kent (2 Volumes): 1855. Vol. I: Only 200 copies printed. 139pp. Vol. II: Only 100 copies printed. 92pp. Plus folding Genealogical Chart, 2 hand-coloured plates and many b/w illustrations. Author's presentation inscription in ink, dated 1870, to top of title page and Author's signature to frontispiece, below portrait. Modern armorial bookplates to inside front covers of each volume. Occasional light foxing, heavier to prelims and pages 27 to 51 in Vol. I of the Archaeological Mine. Some rubbing and edgewear to boards, particularly spine edges. Overall a Good+ Set. The adjoining property was also later acquired and the bookshop greatly extended. We have a variety of original prints and maps for sale and a selection of modern First Editions and fine bindings. We also stock a comprehensive range of Fine Art greetings cards and wrapping paper.
