Add to basketFirst edition of the author's first book. Inscribed by the author: "Good wishes to David Posner from Ted Hughes April 1967". Winner of the Newdigate Prize in 1956, the recipient was a published poet who collaborated with David Hockney and an assiduous collector of inscriptions from his poetic idols. Loosely inserted is The Poetry Book Society Bulletin for September 1957 in which Hughes thanks the Society for selecting the book as its Autumn Choice and comments on the importance of the musical element in his poetry, as well as a note on his own background. An excellent copy with just a small amount of chipping at the head of the (faintly aged) spine of the dust-wrapper.
