[Military History] FIRST EDITION. Octavo (23 x 15cm), pp.[4] xxiv; 437 [3]. With numerous loose folding maps and plans in a pouch on the rear board. Contemporary dark grey half morocco, with raised bands, gilt titles to spine, and matching cloth over boards. Top edge gilt, others untrimmed, with marbled endpapers. A blue ink shelf mark to first blank, and some toning to edges, otherwise internally clean. A couple of minor repairs to folding maps. Spine sunned, with moderate general wear to binding. Very good.
