Contemp. full olive green calf, elaborate borders in gilt & blind, spine dec. in gilt; sl. rubbed, spine label detached. Gift inscription on initial blank, 'Fanny Chetham Strode, the gift of her niece Louisa Winn Granton, June 1828'. The preface advises, 'Since the publication of the first edition, another hymn by the Bishop has been found, which is now added to the collection'; the additional hymn is the catchily titled Fourth Sunday after Epiphany, No. V. The majority of the hymns are by Heber, but there are also 13 by H.H. Milman, four by Addison, three by Drummond, and others by Bishop Taylor, Walter Scott, Pope, Dryden, Cowper & Logan.
