Partially unopened, some pencil underlining, some light browning, paper split to upper firm hinge, with the signature of C.S. Barton and some pencil notes to half title, gilt ruled cloth, corners frayed, minor marking, spine chipped and sl. yellowed. Henry Fanshawe Tozer (1829 1916), geographer and classical scholar. ODNB . chiefly remembered as a pioneer of the establishment of geography in British universities, which lagged far behind their continental counterparts in this respect .
