First UK Edition, First Impression without dustwrapper. 288 pp + 32 pp catalogue to the rear Publisher's mid-red boards with black lettering to the front board and spine. A solid very good copy. No dustwrapper. No previous owner's inscriptions. There is a faint crease to the top right-hand corner of the front board. The spine is faded but with the lettering still clearly visible. Front hinge weak but still folding. Very clean interior. This book is of legendary scarcity. The first Simenon Book. Contains two stories; The Crime of Inspector Maigret and The Death of Monsieur Gallet. Further photographs available upon request.
