8 volumes rebound (1960ies) in plain burgundy library cloth with gilt lettering to spine, "Withdrawn" to top edge, "Presented by the Publisher" to half-title of 1st & 6th volume, no library stamps to title page, initial volumes show some poorly judged pencil (and ink) marking to pages and to table of contents, frontispiece to Vol 3 and plate 1 of Vol 4 have been noted missing, most of the folding maps are in good order, one or two with old tape repairs or folding flaws, maps not checked for completeness, a solid working set of first edition, 1863, 1863, 1868, 1868, 1875, 1880, 1887, 1887, Lisyuk Kalenik noted on library bookplate Language: English.
