First edition. "Ribalta's series of photographs follows in the tradition of celebrity portraiture. The pictures depict a cross-section of well-and-lesser known public media figures of the present, both from fiction, film, and social and political life. Particular to this series of photographs is that they have been made in the studio using action figures. The result is a world wherein reality, illusion, artificiality and kitsch cross over each other." Photographs by Jorge Ribalta. 80 pages; 32 b&w plates; 9.75 x 12 inches. Text in Spanish and English with brief entries and biographical notes in Spanish only. Condition: A touch of light tanning along the top edges of the pages otherwise Fine; clothbound hardcover with a mounted plate to the front and stamped gilt titling to the front and spine; no dj as issued.
