A merely good copy of the presumed first hard cover edition (no explicit edition or printing statement), lacking a dust-jacket. The text is unmarked, though there is some damp-staining to the page edges of the volumes as well as to the edges of the boards (though there is no mustiness to the volume). Abundant wear to the binding, which much abrading of the front spine seam, resulting in a slight wobble to the board. Paste-down title on the spine is barely legible.
