With the dust-jacket illustrated by William Randell, priced at 10/6. ADVANCE OR REVIEW COPY, with a sheet of typed reviews/quotes affixed to rear endpaper. Together with two pieces of art; the original jacket artwork hand-painted by Randell (20 x 15cm) featuring original notes in ink and pencil to backing board, Collins' original job sheet pasted to rear, plus; miniature showing final colour choice, with two colour samples affixed to a tracing sheet and backing board, original notes in ink and pencil to paper and backing board. Both items in archival window mount measuring 36 x 30cm. An excellent copy of the book in like wrapper. Artwork in lovely bright condition, colour samples with some light etc. wear due to its original intended use. This murder mystery set in London begins with the discovery at Docklands of a frozen corpse with a knife in its neck. Curran; The Hooded Gunman, p.114.
