Very scarce in this original edition. Novel by the Italian poet, Ruffini (1807-1881), in English and here presented in 2 volumes, 337pp and 336pp, bound into one book. Black leather a little worn but binding overall attractive with gilt tooling and red title plate in place to spine. Cloth is clean. Internally ffep and half title missing. Seemingly contemporary PO signature to title page which is browned as are rear eps. Very occasional foxing to text. All profits to Amnesty International. Seller Inventory # 010756
