THE FAMILY LIBRARY No III, 3. 4pp publisher adverts much of which is devoted to advertising The Family Library, including many reviews of the first volume in the series, The Life of Napoleon, vi, folding map "Shewing the Campaigns of Alexander", 402pp, spine cracked by map but sound, original printed cloth, some foxing to covers, some occasional foxing in text. From 1829 to 1835 John Murray published many of its titles in The Family Library. From 1835 to 1841 the publisher Thomas Tegg took over the series. In all, some 80 titles were issued in this series, which were all in the same format and binding. Only on the outside covers is there mention that the book is part of The Family Library, which are all in a uniform binding and of the same size. Size: 6.25 x 4 Inches.
