First edition. Publisher's original illustrated red cloth boards with titles in black to the upper board and spine. Profusely illustrated throughout in colour and black and white. A very good copy, the binding square and firm with just a little fading to the spine. The contents with a contemporary previous owner's ink inscription to the front free endpaper and a few pencil annotations scattered throughout are otherwise in very good order. A charmingly illustrated French primer depicting street scenes, the home, common objects, zoo animals and much more. An unusually attractive copy.
