Bound in twentieth century navy morocco, lettered and decorated gilt to the spine, with the initials "K.H.J." to the upper cover. Single-page map of the Shire, and two fold-out maps to rear. A very good copy, a little wear with loss to the head of the spine. A 3-2-1 set of early impressions of The Lord Of The Rings. The third printing of The Fellowship Of The Ring was published in January 1955 and comprised only 500 copies. The second printing of The Two Towers was published in 1955 and comprised 1,800 copies. The first printing of The Return Of The King was published in October 1955 and comprised 7,000 copies.
