This is one of five copies printed on Whatman paper, of a total edition of 555: 'Ejemplar II, Especialmente impreso para Daniel Devoto'.The noted Argentinian hispanist and musicologist Daniel Devoto (1916-2001) attracted the attention of Juan Ramón Jiménez, Pedro Salinas, and Julio Cortázar when he began publishing his own poetry in the 1940s. He, however, remained uncertain of his own talent, and confined his publications to small editions for circulation among friends. His poetry has remained little known, but in 2010 a first collected critical edition was published by Ediciones del Copista in Córdoba (Argentina), in an attempt to give it a wider audience: Victor Gustavo Zonana, Arte, forma, sentido. La poesía de Daniel Devoto.
