London: George Allen & Unwin, 1961 - 1962 all three volumes are complete with no loose leaves, all in original and matching un-clipped dustjackets, all three showing uniform light toning to the spine strips and a few small chips, nicks or tears. All in excellent original red cloth bindings with no ownership markings, bright red colour to top edges as issued, and very tidy and bright textblocks. An excellent set. Specifically by volume :The Fellowship of the Ring, 11th imp., 1961, folding map at rear, dustjacket with small nicks and chips to corners and a closed tear (3cms) to lower joint of spine. Book itself in Fine condition.The Two Towers, 9th imp., 1962, folding map at rear, dustjacket with small nicks and chips to corners. Book itself in Fine condition. The Return of the King, 8th imp., 1961, folding map at rear, dustjacket with small nicks and chips to corners, and light staining to iupper cover and some light small patches of red bleed from the bindings to lower and upper panels. Book itself in Fine condition.
