A superb first edition three volume set containing: The Fellowship of the Ring 15th impression, The Two Towers 11th Impression and The Return of the King 11th Impression, dated respectively 1966, 1965, and 1965. All in unclipped dustwrappers w/ complete foldout maps to rear. Original boards are a little marked w/ some corners and spine ends bumped. Edges of all text blocks toned and a little foxed. Endpapers unevenly tanned w/ "Two Towers" Endpapers most tanned and marked w/ a circular age-stain. Dustwrappers tanned, and worn to extremities w/ spines and corners most affected. Numerous tears to edges w/ some loss to corners w/ "The Fellowship of the Ring" most affected. Long pencil mark to front flap of "Fellowship". Several stains also affect the wrappers w/ "Return of the King" spine most affected. Set ow/ in good condition w/ only usual age-related wear and browning.
