New York/London/Bombay: Longmans, Green, and Co., 1901. Haggard sets this historical romance in the violent 16th-Century, where it is neccessary to "cast out the cursed Spaniard." This is a Very Good copy of the First American Edition. Divided into Three Books: "The Sowing," "The Ripening," and "The Harvesting." Brown decorative cloth binding, stamped flowers in orange and two shades of green. Titling in orange and black on the spine and front cover. This decorative binding is less common than the rather plain British publication. Clean text; xii, 496 pages, with a 2-page catalog in the rear. Frontis illustration and 15 others within. First American Edition. Decorative Cloth. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7�" - 9�" tall.

We accept checks and money orders in US Dollars. Credit card orders are accepted through ABE. California residents must add appropriate sales tax (currently 7.25%). Items are returnable for any reason within ten days of receipt (please email or call first before returning item).
