Half leather, with marbled boards, end papers and all edges, spine divided into five compartments with labels and gilt decoration, volume numbered II in Roman numerals on the spine (numbered according to its position in Jardine's 'Mammalia' series as opposed to the Naturalist's Library as a whole).
