Some light general soiling with some rubbing to joints and corners. Bindings square and tight. All edges gilt. Black ribbon page markers. Some occasional light foxing within, mostly affecting preliminary pages; generally clean. School prize bookplate on front endpaper of Vol I. Bookseller's labels on front endpapers of both volumes. Overall a 'Very Good' set.
