(London: Published for THE CRIME CLUB by Collins 1952). First UK edition. Octavo (19 x 13cm), pp.192; [1]. Publisher's orange cloth with black titles to spine. With the lilac and black illustrated dustwrapper, priced at 10s 6d. A neat former owner's name to the front free end-paper and a tiny Swedish bookseller's discreet ticket to the front paste-down, contents clean, boards exceptionally bright and clean. The dustwrapper is exceptionally clean with perfect colour on spine, with no wear, tears or pieces missing. The back panel of the dustwrapper is lightly toned to the top and left-hand edges likely caused by a smaller book sitting next to it on a bookshelf. A lovely near fine copy.
