Gilbreth was a pioneer in motion control studies, and though he worked closely with Frederick Winslow Taylor for a number of years, the two fundamentally disagreed about the purpose of motion control. Taylor hoped to increase speed and profits for firms, while Gilbreth sought improvements that would benefit workers directly. This book focuses on efficiency in masonry, the industry in which Gilbreth began his career. Octavo. Diagrams and illustrations from photos throughout.
