First UK Edition. Publishers orange boards with black lettering and black border to the front board and spine with publisher's device also in black to the spine. A fine copy in a near fine D/W priced 7/6 net to the spine (as called for). The D/W has a short, closed tear (and associated crease) to the bottom right hand corner of the rear panel. Wonderful, evocative period D/W artwork. This book would grace any collection of pre-war detective fiction. Scans invited. Rare.
