1st Ed. 2nd issue? [vi] publ. adverts. + xiv + 239pp. + [i]. 5 lithographic plates including 3 chromo. 1 tinted and 1 folding (with marginal stain), 2 folding maps, folding table. Signature L7 with repair to head, signature C5 lacking upper corner, light age toning with occasional spotting mainly to plates, Valley of the Pines Montague, Michigan ink stamp to front f.e.p., hinges taped, rebound in cloth, some marking and stained along fore-edge of upper board, gilt lettered label to spine. The Ethnographical Library conducted by Edwin Norris Esq., Volume I. Ferguson 9340. Chapter XII deals with Melville Island and North Australia. There are also many references to the Australian aborigines in other parts of the work, with ethnological comparisons. US$149.
