With a Narrative of the Events which occurred in the Enterprise of the Earl of Argyle, in 1685, by Sir Patrick Hume. 1809. 4to. xxxvi + 215pp of Mr. Fox's Historical Work, + 67pp of Hume's Narrative; [lxxx] Appendix. (2) Notes and Errata. First edition. Very good minus book. Blue-gray paper covered boards with darker blue-gray paper covered spine; paper label on spine. Spine folds are cracked but holding. Loss at head of spine of 1" across the width by up to 7/8" and 1/4" across the width at tail of spine. All outermost board edges are rubbed through, as well as 2 1/4" by up to 1 1/4" on the lower right corner of front panel. Side and lower page edges are untrimmed. Front inside gutter is cracked but holding. FFEP has a partial pencil tracing of the title page. Foxing is limited to the first and last several pages. Text pages are very clean. Text block is stable in spite of gutter cracks. Please use close-up options for best inspection and in support of condition descriptions. Additional photos available at your request.
