Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book provides a comprehensive exploration of philosopher Hasdai Crescas and his pivotal role in the history and development of Jewish philosophy. The author examines Crescas' thought in detail, focusing on his unique and critical examination of the widely accepted Aristotelian worldview, which had dominated philosophical thinking for many centuries. Through a comparative analysis of Crescas' ideas with those of Maimonides and Spinoza, the book highlights the originality and significance of his contributions to philosophy. It also sheds light on the broader intellectual milieu of the time, exploring the complex interactions between Jewish and Islamic thought in shaping Crescas' philosophical perspective. By presenting a systematic treatment of Crescas' work, this book offers a valuable resource for understanding the development of Jewish philosophy and the evolution of philosophical thought during the Middle Ages.
