An excellent near fine copy, the binding square and firm, with just mild rubbing at the extremities. The contents, ever so slightly spotted to the text block edge are otherwise clean throughout and without previous owner's inscriptions or stamps. Inscribed by the author in blue ink on the half title "For Pat / with warmth / C. K. Williams / June 93". Published simultaneously in the UK and US (Farrar, Straus & Giroux).
