Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book sheds light on the role of the Catholic Church in Irish society, specifically examining the power and influence of its priests. The author argues that the Church's pervasive presence in Irish life has stifled progress and perpetuated a cycle of dependency and underdevelopment in the country. The book contends that the Church's focus on obedience and subservience has hindered the intellectual and civic growth of Irish citizens, contributing to a lack of self-reliance and a reluctance to challenge authority. Through meticulous research and analysis, the author presents a thought-provoking exploration of the complex relationship between religion and social progress, delving into the historical and cultural factors that have shaped the current state of affairs in Ireland. The book's insights offer a valuable perspective on the enduring influence of religious institutions in shaping societal norms and behaviors. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item. Seller Inventory # 9781331585350_0
