First edition in English, first printing, of Husserl's lectures, given at Göttingen from 1905 to 1910, and first published in German as Vorlesungen zur Phänomenologie des inneren Zeitbewusstseins in 1928. Husserl's central thesis is that "objective time" can be distinguished from "inner time", the former the temporality of things in nature, the latter that of experiences in consciousness. Octavo. Original black cloth, spine lettered in gilt. With dust jacket. Slight bumping at extremities and speck of wear to one corner; jacket price-clipped with slight peripheral chipping, small chips to spine panel with loss to a couple of letters, a little toned and rubbed; a near-fine copy in very good jacket.
