Early 19th-century tree calf, panelled in gilt, black morocco label, spine gilt; extremities sl. rubbed, spine a bit worn & label sl. chipped affecting two letters, expert repairs to spine & front hinge. Armorial bookplate of Benjamin Baugh on leading pastedown; ink signature of John Taylor, January 3 1832 on initial blank; ink signature of Stephen Coleridge, The Ford, 1919 on titlepage. A nice copy. ESTC T139939; the second line of the imprint is in Roman type, with the comma after 'Biggs' above the 'st' of Bristol. [8], 220pp. Bound without final ad. leaf and final blank. Includes 'To Marry Wollstonecraft', 'The Triumph of Woman', 'Poems on the Slave Trade', 'To the Genius of Africa', 'Botany-bay Eclogues', 'Hymm to the Penates', and others. Stephen Coleridge, 1854-1936, was an author and barrister; his grandfather was the nephew of Samuel Taylor Coleridge, an interesting, if distant, association. Seller Inventory # 92219
