First US Edition. Publisher's black decorative cloth, designed in red & silver. Borzoi patterned end papers. Red top edge. In Bleiler. A VG++ copy with boards really bright and clean. Firm hinges. No inscriptions. In the original first issue dustwrapper with price of 42.50 Net to the top righty-hand corner of the front flap (as called for). The dustwrapper has 1.3 cm shallow chipping at the head of the spine (removing most of PRIEST and a couple of other chips elsewhere not affecting any lettering.
