First edition. Wrappers. The programme is cut in the shape of a baroque cartouche. Each cover has a decoration by Rex Whistler, the upper cover also having an embossed design by him. There is a further internal design, a head-piece on the first page, by Whistler. (The other head- and tail-pieces are antique.) The programme consists of loose sheets held together by a gilt cord with tassles at the ends. Margot Fonteyn, Robert Helpmann, William Chappell and Frederick Ashton were among the cast that night. Very faint signs of damp. Near fine.
